Joe John Kocvai

Joe J. Kocvai, 85, of Genoa, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Mercy Health- St. Vincent Medical Center. He was born on June 10, 1934 in Genoa to Joseph and Mary (Panyuscsik) Kocvai. Joe worked at the Clay Center Lime Plant and then the Gibsonburg Pfizer Company Lime Plant, where he worked until his retirement in 1983. When Joe was younger, he enjoyed fishing in many local rivers and the bay area. Joe was an avid bowler. For many years, he was a league member at the former Clay Center Rec. Joe is survived by his sister, Margaret Bodi and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary and his sisters, Irene Reinbolt and Helen Padgett. Due to the Corona Virus pandemic, private family graveside services will be conducted at Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire District #36, 101 Sixth Street, Genoa, Ohio.
