Jody John Worona (49) passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
He was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 20, 1975, to the late Joseph and Shirley Worona. He leaves behind four adoring children; Dennis, Ashley (Luca), Natalie and Madison; and the love of his life, Gretchen; his younger brother Ricky (Cassie); many nieces and nephews, and so many others who will all cherish his memory.
Jody was employed by Rent-A-Center for over 21 years, where he was affectionately known as “The Franchise”. His gift for sales helped so many people over the years. Whether you were struggling to get by or just looking for the newest and best, Jody was there to take care of you. Even if you didn’t really need something, chances were you were going home with a deal.
When he wasn’t typing up rental agreements, he was wheeling and dealing in the reptile world. His true passion in life that started over two decades ago. Jody was an avid breeder who prided himself on producing healthy, multi-gene snakes that will be used to create morphs for generations to come. The joy of introducing someone to their new pet brought him a different kind of satisfaction that few know. He will always be the “GOAT Father”.
When he wasn’t working, Jody enjoyed traveling with his family, watching football (How about those Cowboys), fishing and frequenting the movies with his kids.
Jody was truly one of a kind. He had a kind heart, a silly sense of humor, and a work ethic like no other. His mark has been left on the world and his impression will remain on all who knew him.
