Jody J. Compton

Jody J. Compton, 91, of Delaware, formerly of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was born in Suffern, NY to John and Gertrude (French) Gatley on December 21, 1931. She married Archie Compton on April 4, 1970, he preceded her in death, February 1997. In her earlier years, Jody was active at Calvary Bible Chapel where she was a member of the Ladies Guild. She then attended Pathway Community Church. Most recently she attended Sunbury Christian Church. Jody was the founding member of the Toledo Area Friends of Elvis Fan Club. She spent many years as a guide at Graceland where she could be surrounded by her favorite, Elvis! Her kindness and compassion for her many pets over the years will be greatly missed.

Jody is survived by her children Jody Sohnly, Ronny Wise, and Louise Dean; grandchildren TJ (Lila) Sohnly, Chris Wise, KC Knowlton, Breana Estep, her favorite great grandchild, Olivia, and brother, David Gatley.
