Joanne Vedra

Joanne Vedra, 83, of Maumee, Ohio formerly of Rossford, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at The Lakes of Monclova Assisted Living facility.

Joanne was born on September 9, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Florian and Sophia (Rudnicki) Lawniczak. Joanne was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School in Toledo. She married Stephen Vedra on June 13, 1959 and together they raised three sons. Joanne was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Joanne is survived by her children, Stephen (Lorri) Vedra, Timothy Vedra, and Gregory (Cynthia) Vedra, her grandchildren Kyle and Kevin Vedra, Emily (Jon) England, great-grandchildren Isabella, Sophia, and Olivia as well as her sister Kathy (John) McClure. Joanne is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Agnes Vedra, Carolyn Vedra, Julianne (Michael) Kulakowski, and brother-in-law Joseph Vedra as well as many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen, as well as her parents.

A private Memorial Mass will be held at a future date. Interment will be private at Fort Meigs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Joanne’s memory may consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
