Joanne Sophia Seeman, age 88 of Holland, Ohio died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Swanton Valley Care Center. She was born at home on December 6, 1926 to Walter H. and Ethel M. (Krueck) Berg. She graduated from Libbey High School in 1945 and on June 6, 1945 in Monroe, Michigan, she married Ray W. Seeman Sr. and was happily married for 40 years until his death on March 11, 1985. Joanne worked several jobs, but dearest to her heart was St. John’s Jesuit High School where she worked for 16 years before retiring in 1980. Joanne was a member of the Mother’s Club and Band Boosters. After retiring she began crafting and loved attending craft shows. Joanne also enjoyed camping and sightseeing and was proud of all the places she was able visit. She was also a member of Holland’s American Legion Post #646 Ladies Auxiliary where she served as Chaplain. She was a member of the Cousino Club, Fraternal Order of Eagles Maumee Aerie #2562, as well as the Retired Eagles Activity Club (R.E.A.C.). She is survived by and blessed to have had Buckley Cramer as her companion for the last 30 years. She is also survived by her sons, Ray W. “Jake” (Dorothy) Seeman Jr. and Terry M. (Becky) Seeman; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2-8 P.M. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway in Holland (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. John’s Jesuit High School, 5901 Airport Highway Toledo, Ohio 43615. .
