JoAnne C. Sandwisch, 79, of Oak Harbor, died Sunday evening, May 3, 2015, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born April 14, 1936, in Fremont, Ohio, to H. A. and Florence G. (Leiser) Sorg. On November 6, 1954, in Oak Harbor she married Gerald R. Sandwisch, who preceded her in death February 21, 2008. JoAnne drove school bus for the Ottawa County Board of Mental Retardation. She and her husband owned a house on Middle Bass Island and enjoyed 50 years there. She is survived by her daughter, Mary (Jim) Ebel, sons, Douglas (Cindy) Sandwisch and Jeffrey (Lori) Sandwisch, all of Oak Harbor; 10 grandchildren: Josh (Holli) Goetz, Jeremy (Andrea) Goetz, Matthew Sandwisch, Michael (Melody) Sandwisch, Brian (Karyn) Sandwisch, Jack Sandwisch, Vicky (Brad) Smith, Dan Sandwisch, Nathan (fiancé, Alyssa) Sandwisch, and Zachary Sandwisch; and eight great grandchildren: Hunter, Hannah and Hailie Smith, Karly, Alivia and Ava Goetz, and Jacob and Gage Sandwisch. JoAnne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Mary Phillips, and brothers, Don, Dave, Bill, Lynn and Wendell Sorg. Funeral services will be private with interment to take place in Limestone Cemetery, Graytown. Memorials for JoAnne may be directed to the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., P.O.
