Joanne R. Coykendall

Joanne Coykendall, age 85, of Toledo and formerly of Sylvania, passed away on February 5, 2014 in her home. Joanne was born in Toledo on February 20, 1928 to Henry & Regina (Konz) Couturier. Joanne was a school bus driver for over 20 years working for the Toledo Public Schools. A member of Little Flower Catholic Church, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her children, Judith (Carl) Nielsen; Jeffery (Christine) Coykendall; Jolene (Thomas) Kehres; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Ladonna (Richard) Shane. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Coykendall; son, Jay Coykendall; sisters, Rita Blank; Ellouise Joyce; and great granddaughters, Avery & Ashley Nielsen. Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-8 pm Monday February 10, 2014. Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7 pm. Funeral services will continue at the Funeral Home on Tuesday February 11, 2014 with prayers being recited at 10:15 am followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo.
