Joanna Phillips

Joanna Phillips, age 85, of Maumee, Ohio, entered her eternal home peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2015 after a battle with cancer. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 17, 1930 to John and Sophia Stein. Joanna recently celebrated her 85th birthday and 66th wedding anniversary. She was very active at Bethel Lutheran Church and was involved in Shriners Ladies Auxiliary. Joanna was a great cook and enjoyed playing Bunco. She was a loving, loyal, and devoted wife, mother and grandmother; the likes of which could never be replaced. Joanna is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Raymond; sons, Jeffrey (Linda) and Raymond Jr.; daughter-in-law, Linda; sister, Joyce Berndt; grandchildren, Michelle; Lauren; Alison; Lucas and Brookelyn and great grandchildren, Travis and Aubrey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael. A memorial service will be held at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1853 South Ave., Toledo, Ohio on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM.
