Joann Catherine Kennedy

JoAnn Catherine (Szymanek) Kennedy of Perrysburg, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 27, 2015. She took her final breath at Hospice of Northwest Ohio with her family by her side. JoAnn was 74 years old. She was born in Steubenville, OH on October 6, 1941 to Walter and Margaret (Cercone) Szymanek and they preceded her in death. She attended Libby High School class of 1959. JoAnn married Leo Kennedy on September 1, 1961 and they had sons, Robert (Meg) Kennedy of Waterville, OH; John F. Kennedy of Monclova, OH; Bryan Kennedy of Bedford, MI and James (Melissa) Kennedy of Perrysburg, OH. All survive her. She was the proud grandmother of Ben, Kelsie, Maegan and Joshua. She was a frequent fan at sporting events and choir concerts to watch them perform. Also surviving is her brother, Andy (Phyllis) Szymanek of Holland, OH. JoAnn was a lover of bingo and poker and was an avid (and very good) player of both. Her family extended into many friends and she will be greatly missed by all. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Saturday, January 2, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with services beginning at 7:30 PM.
