Joan Catherine Snoad

Joan Catherine (Lopresto) Snoad passed away peacefully on December 24th, 2023, at the age of 95. Joan began her life in Toledo, Ohio on August 20th, 1928. She grew up attending St. Mary’s Catholic School and Central Catholic High School. After obtaining additional schooling to become a secretary, Joan worked for Dura, St. Agnes and St. John Credit Union.

She met her husband Robert Snoad and were married on July 19th, 1952. Together they raised six children and had 60 years of marriage before he passed away in 2016. They were active in the church. Joan lived her life full of faith. She enjoyed reading, knitting and the hallmark channel. She made lifelong friends at her sorority Beta Sigma Phi. She was loved by so many.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sandra (Mark) Jakubec, Sue (Keith) Dulinsky, Sharon (David) Jones, Karen (Doug) Derlatka, Robert Jr. (Becky) Snoad, John (Sherri) Snoad, 16 grand -children and 26 great-grand children.

Visitation will be held on Thursday December 28th at Walker Funeral Home; (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) from 4PM – 7PM, with a sharing of memories beginning at 6:30PM. A funeral mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday December 29th at 10:30AM. Internment at Resurrection Cemetery will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests a contribution in Joan’s honor to St. Jude’s or Christ the King Catholic Church.
