Joan M. Sebastiano

Joan Marcelline Sebastiano Mu Mu, 74, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Ebeid Hospice Center in Sylvania, OH. She was born on July 23, 1937 at Fremont Memorial Hospital to Edward M. and Dorothy G. Perry Bergefurd. She was a 1955 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Fremont, OH. Joan began her career working for the Erie Ordinance Depot, after which she was a telephone operator for several years. Later Joan entered the medical field as a billing specialist working for Magruder Hospital in Port Clinton, OH and then private doctors offices. She also obtained her realtor license and worked part-time for Century 21. Joan enjoyed spending lots of time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed caring for her beautiful flower gardens. Joan took pride in her home and always created a warm and inviting environment. Joan left behind her husband, Gary R. Sebastiano; sons, Daniel Lori and Michael Pamela; and daughters, Jodi Jeffrey Beidleman and Sandra Gary Tripp. She was a cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren and a great-grandmother of 8. Visitation is Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Walker Funeral Home on 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue west of Corey Rd. from 3-6 pm, with a memorial service to immediately follow.
