Joan Carolyn Monnett

JoAn C. Monnett, age 79, of Port Clinton, Ohio, passed away at home on November 22, 2024. She was born on December 20, 1944, in Port Clinton, to Burnett and Anges (Lattimore) Brough. She married Ronald Monnett on February 25, 1967. JoAn was elected Clerk of Courts at the Ottawa County Commons Pleas Court, and she went on to retire from there after many years. She was involved in the Bay Township Fire Department Auxiliary and Riverview Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Monnett, children, Scott (Brenda) Monnett and Mark (Jen) Monnett, brothers, Frank (Ann) Brough, Ray Brough, and Dan (Kristi) Brough, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Charles Brough, and sister-in-law, Vicki Brough.

A celebration of JoAn’s life will be held on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at 1:00 pm at the Bay Township Hall, 4471 W. Fremont Road, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. Memorial donations in JoAn’s honor may be made out to the Bay Township Fire Department or Riverview Auxiliary.
