On Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, Joan Ann (Easton) McNutt, devoted wife and mother, passed away. Joan was born January1st, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Franklin and Gertrude (Gerhardt) Easton. She received her Bachelor’s in Education Degree from Wittenberg University in Springfeild, Ohio in 1964. Being certified in kindergarten through 8th grade, she taught in multiple Ohio school districts including Bettsville, Northfolk, and Toledo Fulton. On August 28th, 1965, She married Thomas McNutt and raised three children. Joan had many interests over the years including Twins Club member, Cub Scout den mother, and line dancing. She also had a passion for volunteering especially at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and was a founding member of the Toledo Harbor Lighthouse Preservation Society. At Oshkosh, she thrived in her favorite roll as tram co-pilot where she not only provided directions and safety instructions but also a little history of the aircraft as they passed by. Joan was very devoted to her family, caring for her father, Frank, until he passed away at 103. She was also known for her various holiday “hats” and corny family games. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Gertie, and by her husband, Tom. She is survived by her children, Amy (Michael) Miller, Eric (Carol) McNutt, Aaron (Tracy) McNutt; her sister, Deborah (Jeffery) Easton-Bently; and six grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 8th at Noon at Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623). Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM that morning.
