Joan D. Johnston

Joan D. Johnston, age 82, of Walbridge, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 surrounded by her family. Joan was born on April 6, 1934 in Buffalo, New York to Roy and Dorothy (Ralph) Taylor. She married her beloved husband, Frank Johnston on April 10, 1954 and he preceded her in death. Joan was a Human Resource Manager at R.P.M. for over 12 years, and was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in East Toledo. Joan was an avid golfer and enjoyed card club and visiting with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dennis (Christine) Johnston, Donald (Keely) Johnston; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St. Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 10:00 AM. until the time of funeral services at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, Ohio. Contributions in memory of Joan may be made to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
