Joan E. Jess

Joan E. Jess, 90, of Oak Harbor, passed away on July 25, 2020 at Elmwood Nursing Center, Fremont. She was born September 17, 1929, in Graytown, the daughter of James E. and Annabelle E. (Schiewe) Sondergeld. Joan had worked at the Eckrich plant in Fremont for more than 22 years. She enjoyed dancing and bowling in her younger years. Later in life Joan liked gardening and loved to go shopping! Joan is survived by her niece Kim (Mark) Geldien, Godchildren, Alana Kristin Geldien, Shari Sondergeld-Wilson, daughter, Linda Sondergeld-Stancombe , grandsons, Richard (Teresa) Hinebaugh and William Hinebaugh, brothers, Bob (Pat) Sondergeld and Frank (Marge) Sondergeld. She was preceded in death by her parents, former husband, James Jess, and brother, Kenneth, James and Marvin Sondergeld. A Celebration of Life for the family will be held privately.
