Joan L Harman

Joan L. Harman, 84, of Toledo, Ohio died Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 27, 1931 to Harold and Mabel (Hatch) DeLauter. She graduated in 1949 from Whitney High School. Joan married her sweetheart, Gordon Harman on January 10, 1951 and together they raised their family. Joan worked in Inventory control at Burroughs Corp. for 21 years, retiring in 1986. She was an active member of the O.E.S. former Perrysburg chapter. Joan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Joan is survived by her daughters, Linda S. (Robert) Peters and Cindy L. (Ernie) Mazurkiewicz; son, Richard A. (Teresa) Harman; grandchildren, Ann (Roger), Hope, John, Kristy (Cliff), Melissa, Kathryn, Amy; 6 great grandchildren; and brother, Richard (Joyce) DeLauter. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers. Graveside service for Joan will be at Elliston Cemetery, 17505 W. Toussaint N. Rd.
