Joan G Dilorenzo

Joan Grace Metz DiLorenzo age 78, of Toledo, passed away Saturday March 3, 2012 at Foundation Park. She was born in Toledo on April 25, 1933 to Milo and Anna Metz. She met the love of her life, Anthony as a freshman at Central Catholic High School. They soon married after his military service in 1953 and enjoyed 58 years together. Joan worked at Wilson Spice Company but her real love was taking care of her family. She could often be found in the garden or sitting in her favorite spot crocheting. Joan is survived by her husband Anthony, sons; Dave, Terry Ann and Tony, grandchildren; Lori, Michael, Danielle, Nick W. and Lindsay A., sisters-in-law; Lena and Marie, brothers-in-law; Pat Kathy and Ronzo DiLorenzo. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters; Rita Tuthill and Rosemarie Linser, brothers-in-law; Nick and Victor DiLorenzo and sister-in-law, Elanore DiLorenzo. There will be no visitation. A funeral mass to celebrate Joans life will be held at the Little Flower Church, 5522 Dorr Street, Toledo, OH on Wednesday March 7, at 10:30 a.m. Internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
