Joan M. Atwater

Joan M. Atwater, 78, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Stein Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born on November 18, 1943 in Fremont, OH to Harold and Marian (Miller) Martin. On August 25, 1973 she married Neil F. Atwater, and he preceded her in death on December 3, 2018. She worked as a homemaker. Joan was know to be sassy and onery. She loved pets, especially her dogs and cats. She was a great cook, and everyone loved her fried chicken. Joan enjoyed playing cards, but her family was the most important thing to her in life.

Joan is survived by her children, Brenda (Larry) Kessler, Kenny (Kelly) Cravens, and Kevin (Debby) Atwater, step-children, Franklin Atwater and Denise (Lynn) DeTray, grandchildren, Ross Kessler, Jackie Bellamy, Paige Kessler, A.J. Cravens, Ashley Crock, Levi Atwater, and Lucas Atwater, and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant twin brother.

Joan will be cremated in the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor and there will be no services per her wishes.
