Joan Alspaugh

Joan Koder Alspaugh age 87 of Toledo passed away Friday October 19, 2012 at Kingston of Perrysburg. She was born January 9, 1925 in Delta, Ohio to Archie and Emma Jane Koder. A 1946 graduate of The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing she was a registered nurse in the NICU of Toledo Hospital and retired in 1988. She enjoyed many summers of boating, fishing and camping with her family on Kelleys Island and wintered with her husband in Ft. Myers and Bradenton, Florida. The widow of Eldon G. Alspaugh she was also preceded in death by sisters Jean Boesel and Phyllis Ross. Surviving are sons Todd Susan and Curt Carol Alspaugh and daughter Jolyn Tom Wagener, Jr.; grandchildren Jeff, Amy, Sara, Bobbi, Rodney, Brian, Jason, Amanda, Abby, Anna, Ashley and the special enjoyment in her life, granddaughter Jenna; and 12 great-grandchildren Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 3-8 PM in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, Maumee where funeral services will be held Monday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Kingston of Perrysburg for their excellent care of Joan the last two years and direct any memorials in her memory to Kingston of Perrysburg or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
