Joan Adamson

Joan (Duncan) Adamson, 63, of Northwood, died tragically Thursday, August 4, 2016 in an automobile accident. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to Joe and Irene (Hall) Duncan on June 26, 1953. Joan graduated from Lake High School in 1971 and was currently working at Hinkle Manufacturing, where she was elected Chairman of Hinkle Manufacturing for Local 12 Unit. She had just recently been selected for the Executive Board for Local 12. Joan was a longtime member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also was an avid animal lover, especially her baby, Dakota, and grand-dogs, Max and Duke. Joan is survived by her loving family; daughter, Amanda R. Adamson; siblings, Cathy Duncan, Stan (Rhonda) Duncan, Debbie Duncan, Don (Karen) Duncan, Ron (Sara) Duncan, Joseph (Shelly) Duncan, Sharon (Tony) Mangum; nineteen nieces and nephews; two great-nieces and one great-nephews; and special nephew, Tyler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Irene; sister, Delores; and many special family members and friends. Friends will be received on Monday, August 8, 2016 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main Street, Walbridge, Ohio (419-666-3121). A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 Breckman Street, Walbridge, Ohio. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
