Jimmy L. Elliott

Jimmy L. Elliott, age 68, of Sylvania, died November 23, 2016 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania. He was born April 5, 1948 in Haleyville, Alabama to the late Walton and Beulah (Cagle) Elliott. A 1966 graduate of Macomber High School, Jimmy was a tool maker at General Motors for 36 years. He was a member of UAW Local 14. Jimmy was a motorcycle enthusiast and member of the Dux Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed piddlin in the garage, camping and taking motorcycle trips across the U.S. with his wife and friends. Jimmy was also an avid hockey fan and coached his sons for many years in their youth. He will also be remembered for his great sense of humor and his passion for Alabama and Pittsburgh Steelers football. Roll Tide! Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Suzan K. (Ramsey) Elliott; sons, Chuck (Angie) Elliott, Mike (Kim) Elliott, Steve (Stacy) Elliott, Bob (Carrie) Collins and Chad (Gretchen) Collins; beloved grandchildren, Samantha, Jessica, Ian, Lauren, Braden, Madison, Landon, Avery, Morgan, Kayla, Liam and Harper; brothers, James Randy (Becky) Elliott and Rick (Danielle) Elliott; and honorary son, Todd (Wendy) Staifer. Visitation will be held in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of a memorial service to celebrate Jimmys life at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Ebeid Hospice.
