Jim Conley, also known as the Halloween Man, age 65, of Millbury, Ohio, died Monday morning, December 14, 2015, at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon. Jim was born March 6, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, to Leo F. and Betty J. (Smith) Conley. On August 12, 1972, in Toledo, he married Mary A. Troxell and she survives. Jim worked for 30 years as a journeyman at the Ford Motor Co. Maumee Stamping Plant and was a member of the U.A.W. Local 12 #1892 in Toledo. He was a very big fan of John Wayne and a fan of street drag racing. He was also an avid fan of Stop-Motion Director, Ray Harryheusen. Jim very much enjoyed bowling and golfing; but his greatest enjoyment was when he and his family were helping children and others in their time of need. Jim is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter, Sherona L. (Aron) Crandall of Millbury, two grandchildren, and siblings, Nancy (Butch) LaPoint of Toledo, Karen (Frank) Brown of Toledo, Janice (Rick) Porter of Walbridge, Steve (Marybeth) Conley of Millbury and Mary Ellen McCreery of Jackson, Michigan. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation for Jim will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, December 17, 2015, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St. Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 18, 2015. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury, following the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
