Jerry Vess, Sr.

Jerry Kenneth Vess, Sr., age 79, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio.  He was born on July 5, 1942, in Canton, Ohio to Jerome and Clair (Porter) Vess Jr.  Jerry was a veteran of the United States Army, where he was stationed in Korea during his service.  He worked for various companies as an office repair technician and enjoyed modeled railroads and classic cars.

Jerry is survived by his son, Jerry (Stacey) Vess, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristin Vess, Autumn Vess, Carley Vess and BreAnna (Alex) Clark; great grandchildren, Avery and Nova Taylor, Molly Brudzinski, Jeremy Garvey-Bleckinger and Dakota Kempf; brother, Jerome (Dee) Vess III; sisters, Janet Lockhart, and Karen (Jack) Gill.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Irene and sister, Claire “Darlene” (Tim) Armbruster.
