Jerry T. Kurek

Jerry T. Kurek, 75, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away on October 24, 2021, in Florida. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 26, 1946, the son of Stephen and Helen Kurek. Jerry married Marlene (Bachmayer) on May 6, 1972. Jerry worked at Chrysler for 37 years retiring in 2005. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Walbridge, Ohio. Jerry was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Sugar Creek Golf Course in Elmore, Ohio. He not only played golf but also helped with maintenance of the grounds. Jerry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marlene, daughter, Stephanie, granddaughter, Samantha, brothers, Jim (Karen), Don (Marsha) and sister, Diane. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patty Kurek. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday, November 12, 2021, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, Ohio. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be directed to St. Jerome Catholic Church. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa is assisting the family with arrangements.
