Jerry F. Gibson

Jerry F. Gibson, 69, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 16, 1946 in Toledo to Otis and Bertha (Clark) Gibson and he married Carolyn Sue Young on September 9, 1967 in Monroe, Michigan. Jerry worked for over 37 years as a sheet metal worker before retiring in 2004. He was a member of Main Street Church, Walbridge. Jerry enjoyed golfing, camping and he loved to go for drives, being in nature and seeing God’s creations. He loved attending and supporting the activities of his children and grandchildren. Jerry had a passion for serving others through his handiwork. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Sue; children, Gretchen (Judd) Fisher, Amy (The Late Danny) Sprinski and Scott (Kristi) Gibson; grandchildren, Samantha Meiers, Daniel Sprinski III, Dustyn Sprinski, Aubrey Fisher, Delaney Fisher, Caleb Gibson and Mackenna Gibson; siblings, Dale (Larry) Woolley, Brenda (Roger) Blausey, Debbie (Melvin) Lee and Pam (Brian) Sullivan and mother, Bertha Gibson. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Gibson and father, Otis Gibson. Friends will be received on Monday, April 25, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 North Main St., Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121). Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Main Street Church, 5465 Moline Martin Rd., Walbridge, Ohio, 43465 where funeral services will be held following the visitation at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Marty Pennington officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Mainstreet Church and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
