Jerry Loyce DeWitte (Mimi) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Jesus took her home and relieved her from her physical suffering on March 13, 2023.
Jerry was born to Tom and Sarah Dean in Triumph, Louisiana on November 28th, 1944. Jerry earned her associates degree in business and went on to create and run Jeri-Co Advertising Specialties, which she continued running late in her life even after losing her vision. Jerry was always giving back to the community and was on numerous PTA boards, taught Sunday school classes for both women and children and was heavily involved in ZONTA where she was nominated woman of the year.
On August 5th, 1966 Jerry married Raymond DeWitte, the cute red head with the corvette she had met through typing his final project for General Motors Institute of Technology (GMI). Together they had three children: Kara (Jon-deceased), Dean (deceased), and Justin (Dione), eight grandchildren: Killian (Allie), Kaitlyn, Kadin (Paige), Kimber Llewellyn and Josiah, Dana Jane, Millie Dean and Hudson DeWitte, and recently her first great grand-daughter: Ellie Mae Llewellyn.
Jerry was a lover of people and had a gift for conversation. Minutes of conversation with Jerry would bring people to share their life stories because of her genuine care and interest in people. Many family members and close friends have some of their greatest memories as late night talks with Jerry. She loved her friends and loved her family even more and did her best to still be a part of their lives when distance pulled them apart. Despite her late health struggles, Jerry put all the energy in life she had into being there to care for her family.
On Sunday March 19th a memorial service will be held for Jerry at Walker Funeral Home 830 Lime City Road, Rossford, OH 43460, with visitation from 1pm to 2pm and service from 2pm-3pm. In lieu of flowers, if you feel compelled to give, please donate to AMDF The American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
