Jerome “Jerry” Louis Oldani, age 81, of Toledo, Ohio died July 12, 2022, at his home. He was born hard-working and conscientious. Jerry was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. In his lifetime, he was a flight instructor at Lumanair Aviation Services as well as a private pilot for several corporations. He holds seven U.S. patents in the area of computer and telephone-related services in commercial aircraft. Jerry was an FAA designee approved to evaluate and certify the knowledge and skills of other pilots. He ended his aviation career by logging over 27,000 hours of flight time. In addition to flying, he owned and operated iSpy Security until his retirement. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed traveling, golfing, snow skiing, and had an adventurous palate trying a variety of new types of food. After retirement, he lived in Branson, MO before moving to Toledo five years ago to be closer to family. While Jerry was quiet, gentle, highly intelligent, and honest, he was also fun-loving and willing to lend a gracious smile to everyone he met.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Frankie; daughter, Christine Isdale; stepdaughters, Deanna (Brian) Doyle and Diana (Luke) Worline; and granddaughter, Rachael Isdale.
Services and burial will be held privately.
Memorial contributions in Jerry’s name are suggested to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
