Jeri B. Shick

March 28, 1956 — December 2, 2016

Jeri B. Shick, age 60 of Maumee passed away Friday. December 2, 2016 in the Hospice of Northwest Ohio Inpatient Unit, Perrysburg with her loving husband, Rob holding her hand. Jeri was born March 28, 1956 in New York City. A 1974 graduate of Oak Harbor High School, Jeri was a summa cum laude graduate of Bowling Green State University and gained her MBA with honors from the University of Toledo. After a successful career in health care marketing and management, Jeri started her own marketing firm specializing in business development for physician practices. She also transformed her passion for art into another business trading in antique paintings. Beyond her business success, Jeri was even more passionate about helping others. She served in volunteer or board capacities with many organizations including Boys Girls Clubs of Toledo, United Way, Mobile Meals, NOGA and many others. She had a special appreciation for veterans especially wounded warriors. Friends and family were inspired by Jeri’s loyalty, class, intelligence, wit and dedication to others less fortunate. Everyone was awed by her personal generosity and graciousness. Jeri was a voracious reader especially historical novels. She loved art, music, cooking, gardening, politics, vacationing in her favorite city, Charleston, SC, and summer weekends in Port Clinton. She was an avid sports fan supporting the Michigan Wolverines and a dedicated supporter of her precious Cleveland Indians. Jeri was a beloved wife and true life Partner to her husband Rob for over 28 years. They spent almost their entire adult lives together after meeting at Burroughs Corporation in 1981. Their bond was so tight, it was difficult to mention one without the other. Also surviving Jeri are her sisters-in-law Roxann Shick and Romney (Stephen) Pridgen; brother-in-law Rick Shick; niece Asti (Grant) Weaver; and nephews J. Matt Hill and Austin Hill. She was preceded in death by her mother Grace; Uncle Ish Immel and Aunt and Uncle Norma and Al Schultz.
