Jeremy Cox

Jeremy Cox, 46, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 25, 2025, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

Born and raised in Rossford, Ohio, Jeremy was the cherished son of Judy (Paul) Bamford and Kevin (Jane) Cox. He graduated from Rossford High School in 1997 and went on to pursue his passion for the culinary arts at The Pennsylvania Culinary School in Pittsburgh.

Jeremy’s love for cooking was the heart of his life. Whether working in restaurants or preparing meals for his family and friends, he found joy in bringing people together through food. His dishes were made with care, creativity, and a deep love for those he served.

Jeremy was a loving, kind, and compassionate man who touched the lives of many. He never realized just how deeply he was loved or how many people truly cared for him. He was also an avid University of Michigan fan, proudly supporting his team through every season.

He is survived by his mother, Judy (Paul) Bamford; father, Kevin (Jane) Cox; brothers, Corey (Anna) Cox, Jayme (Lacy) Cox, Bryan (Laren) Cox; step-sister, Rachel (Carlo) Cherubini; lifetime friend, Brad (Connie) Reichert; friend and nephew, Ethan (Robin) Cox; nine nieces and nephews; great-niece, Gianna Cox; and special friend, Ashley Fox.Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stanley and Mary Klepacz, Jesse and Marianne Cox; stepsisters, Lisa Bamford and Erin Bamford, and his stepbrother, David Bamford, uncle John Klepacz.

Friends and family will be received on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Maumee United Methodist Church, 405 Sackett Street, Maumee, Ohio, where a memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Jeremy’s name to the Autism Society of Northwest Ohio or The Zepf Center.
