Jeremy Ray Coger, age 34, was called to heaven to be an angel over us on Thursday, November 19, 2015. He was born on November 16, 1981 in Toledo, Ohio. Jeremy attended Rossford schools, where he was involved in sports and made many lifelong friends. He enjoyed being a part of the youth group and going on mission trips with the First Presbyterian Church in Maumee. Jeremys favorite gift to give was smiles and laughter, which he gave away every day. He was always there when you needed him, always asking how he could help. Jeremy was very intelligent, charismatic, creative, and loved to play his guitar. He had many diverse interests, including cooking, teaching himself to crochet, and being the family grill master with his cousin Brittni. Jeremy will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He will live on in the hearts and lives he touched. Jeremy will be dearly missed by his mother, Tracey; daughter, Lucy Jane Demmy and her mother, Maria Demmy; Granny, Orthella Red Swalla; girlfriend, Aaron Frederick; expecting son, Nikolai; aunt Barb Kiernan; uncles, Todd Swalla, Stephen Swalla and Tom (Sarah) Kiernan; cousins, Brittni and Connor Kiernan, Zayvian, Zyair, Zariah, Sean and Cali. Also surviving are long time friends, Ryan Horvath and Deann Patronik and her daughter Maddie; and grandma Barb Mandry. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Donald S. Swalla and great grandpa, Donald P. Swalla. We will miss your warm, enormous hugs, but know you are always in our hearts. There is hole in our hearts that can only be filled by you. Visitation will be held at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 E. Broadway Street, Maumee on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11:00 AM. A celebration of Life will be held at the church in the Community Center immediately following the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Racing for Recovery, PO Box 160, Sylvania, Ohio 43560. Online condolences and messages may be shared with the family at walkerfuneralhome.com.
