Jeremiah Michael Cross

Jeremiah Michael Cross, 44, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born on February 19, 1980 in Jackson, Michigan to Michael and Marianne Cross. He graduated from Danbury High School in 1999.

Jeremy was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Family was very important to him. He treasured the times when everyone was together, especially for the holidays and family celebrations. Jeremy had a big smile that would light up the room and a smirk that we all grew to love. His Catholic faith was important to him. He attended masses at both Immaculate Conception Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed attending church retreats and events at both parishes. Jeremy was a proud member of The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree.

Jeremy, or as many of you knew as J-Dawg loved all things sports, especially football and hockey, and cheering on his beloved Buckeyes. He enjoyed going to sporting events and ensuring that everyone around him knew of timely updates in the sports world. He had many friends that he looked forward to spending his days with that included daily coffee trips, walks and cookouts in the park and trying out new restaurants. He enjoyed cooking specialty dishes, volunteering his time in the community and listening to all genre’s of music especially Christmas and Christian. Not only did Jeremy love music but he enjoyed singing it for others as well.

He is survived by his parents; sister, Heather (Frank Urbania), brother, Josh (Audrey), and sister, Karly (Mike Weickert); nephews, Parker and Cayden; niece, Kamryn; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Donna Miskowski, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Barbara Cross.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 3-7 pm at the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton, Ohio. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 from 10 am until the Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay Street, Marblehead, Ohio. Burial will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 11 am at St. John Catholic Cemetery, 403 E. South Street, Jackson, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Knights of Columbus, Immaculate Conception Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church or Bistro 163.
