Jennie Rae Dornbusch

Jennie Rae Dornbusch, 61 of Oak Harbor, Ohio, passed away suddenly at H.B. Magruder Hospital on July 27, 2016. She was born in Toledo, Ohio to the loving parents of Shirley (Rice) and Nelson Pete Dornbusch and they preceded her in death. Jennie was a 1972 graduate of Oak Harbor High School. She was very proud of her lengthy commitment to community service which included many groups and organizations. Several that she was particularly fond of included being a charter member of the Carroll Township Fire & EMS as an EMT-B and a member of the Carroll Township Historical Society. She was most proud of her work with CASA; Court Appointed Special Advocate, through the Ottawa County Juvenile Court. She spent many years as an activity director in the nursing home industry and was published in one of the national trade magazines. For the past 20 years Jennie served the Oak Harbor area as an insurance agent. She was also a lifelong member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor. No matter what she was involved with family was always first in her life. Jennie is survived by her older brother, Paul (Jeanette) Dornbusch, nieces, Heather Dornbusch, Madison Kerekes, Miranda Kerekes, nephew, Trace Moss and many loving, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A Memorial service for Jennie will be conducted at 11 AM, Saturday, July 30, 2016 in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa Street, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449. Immediately following the service the family invites all to gather in the church hall for a time of fellowship and light meal. Memorial contributions for Jennie may be directed to the Ottawa County CASA, 1848 E. Perry Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E.
