Jeffrey Warnicke

Jeffrey Warnicke, 73, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Saturday, October 24, 2015 at St Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, surrounded by his family. Jeff was born on April 9, 1942 in Cleveland the son of Betty (Owen) and Harold Warnicke. On June 18, 1966 in Cleveland, he married Jacqueline Figuli and she survives. He served his country in The Army National Guard and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton. Jeff was a teacher and football and golf coach. He began his career at Port Clinton High School for four years then taught and coached at Danbury High School. He completed his career back at Port Clinton High School retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Oliver H. Perry Masonic Lodge #341, a York Rite Mason, Zenobia Shrine, Ottawa County Shrine Club and the Jesters, Toledo Court 21. Jeff was a member and Past Commodore of the Port Clinton Yacht Club, and a member of the Port Clinton Elks Lodge #1718. He enjoyed golfing and hunting. Survivors include: loving wife of 49 years: Jackie Warnicke of Port Clinton; Sons: Scott Warnicke of Medina, OH, and Todd (Margie) Warnicke of Port Clinton; Grandchildren: Scotlyn Warnicke and Ava Trace Warnicke. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Jay Warnicke. Visitation will be 3-7PM, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, with Masonic Service at 7PM. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 10:00AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the funeral home. A Memorial Mass will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:30AM, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Clinton, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial donations in memory of Jeff be given to the Immaculate Conception Parish or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
