Jeffrey Shook

Jeffrey D. Shook, age 43, passed on Thursday, February 6, 2014 after a long battle with Cancer at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg with his wife Traci, by his side. Jeff was born August 27, 1970 in Toledo to David Shook and Patricia Roth Draheim. A 1988 graduate of Oregon Clay High School, Jeff received his Associates Degree from Owens Community College. He later returned to school and received his Bachelors Degree in 2010 from the University of Toledo. Jeff held several jobs throughout his lifetime making many friends along the way. Jeff was most recently employed as an accountant at Seaway Scaffold. Jeff was an avid sports fan and especially loved football. He and his wife, Traci were University of Michigan football season ticket holders and enjoyed pre-game tailgating with friends and family. Jeff was also a loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and New York Yankees. A devoted husband, he loved to travel with Traci, especially to Las Vegas and most recently to Kiawah Island, SC. Jeff and his close friends, the Garage Gang, spent countless hours watching football and enjoying a beverage. He embraced life and cherished his role as a son, brother, husband, uncle and friend to many. Jeff was a true gentle giant and will be remembered for his quick wit, smile, and how much fun he was to simply spend time with. Jeff is survived by his wife of 14 years, Traci; mother, Patricia Draheim; father and spouse, David and Diana Shook; brother, John Rebecca Hernandez Shook; nephews, Jeb Shook, Joshua Wyss, and Jonathon and Nick Tipton; his wifes parents, Joyce and William Miller; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Thomas Draheim; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Lois Roth and paternal grandparents, Richard and Florence Shook. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where services to celebrate Jeffs life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
