Jeffrey Gene Schwartz, 58, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022. He was born in Toledo to Carl and Margaret “Jean” (Hoffman) Schwartz on August 1, 1964. Jeff was the epitome of fun: always cracking jokes and having a good time. He was a joy to be around, and his unique sense of humor will never be matched. Known as a man who could fix or build anything, Jeff always had a project he was working on. He created and built wonderful pieces of furniture for his children and would tinker with motors and engines of all sorts. His children were the light of his life and he absolutely cherished being with them. He enjoyed traveling and making memories with those he loved. Two of his favorites were going to Vegas with his kids and visiting his siblings in Florida. Jeff’s famous homemade sloppy joes and hand cut fries (with homemade tartar sauce) would give any chef a run for his money and would always make everyone feel at home. Jeff was employed for over 10 years with Jim White Honda as a salesman. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and, although not always as fun, he also loved the Cleveland Browns.
Jeff is survived by his beloved children, Kennedy (James “Bob”) Schwartz-Vince, Samantha Schwartz, Mitchell Schwartz; siblings, Bill (Kim) Schwartz, Rick (Linda) Schwartz, Tom (Kay) Schwartz; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Barb Schwartz.
Friends and family are invited to gather on Thursday, November 3, 2022, beginning at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623, where a Celebration of Life will begin at 6:30 p.m.
