Jeffrey “Scotty” Heidtman, II, 33 years old, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021. Scotty, an Ironworker with the Local 55, was a one-of-a-kind person who liked to work hard and play hard. Scotty lived his life fully, loved his family and friends deeply, and brought his huge presence and sense of humor everywhere he went. Scotty had a true heart and everyone who knew Scotty loved him and loved being around his charismatic energy! Scotty was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 23, 1987 to Jeffrey Heidtman Sr. and Andrea (Ardoyno) Syroka. He graduated from Bedford High School where he was a celebrated athlete in both wrestling and football. Scotty had a passion for his country, his work, his family, a great game of euchre, and the Ohio State Buckeyes! He loved his dog and spending time outdoors especially at Devil’s Lake and on the Au Sable River. Scotty spent the majority of his working life as an ironworker with the Local 55. He was loved and will be remembered by his fellow iron workers for being an incredibly dedicated, hard working member of the crew who always had “the guys” laughing. Scotty also spent a lot of time helping out with his Family’s business, Northern Tree Service, and could fell a tree in minutes and would do it all in his sandals. Scotty leaves a huge void for his family and friends. He is survived by his beloved girlfriend, Torey Meinen and her son Logan; his loving grandmother, Barbara Ardoyno; his mother Andrea (Darius J.) Syroka, his stepmother Laura Heidtman and his father Jeffrey Heidtman Sr, his sisters Samantha (Victor V.) Heidtman and Jenifer (Nathan) Ziegler, his brother Nick Syroka Sr., step sisters Shalene Beard and Kayla Smolenski; Nieces and nephews Cecilia and Graham Ziegler, Ellis and Edie Van Deilen, Tracy Syroka and Godson Nick Syroka Jr., Oliver and Quinn Basch; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Showing and service will be held at Walker funeral home at 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue Toledo, OH 43623. The showing will occurs from 11:00AM - 3:00PM on Saturday, June 26, 2021. The service will begin at 3:00PM. Celebration of Life will occur at Nick and Jimmy’s Bar and Grill on Monroe St. immediately following the service.
