Jeffrey Scott Hamman

Jeffrey Scott Hamman, 55, of Sylvania, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Toledo Hospital. He was born July 15, 1962 in Okmulgee, OK to Joe and Sherry (Hinkie) Hamman. Scott was a 1st Sergeant with the Michigan Army National Guard recently retiring after 34 years of service. He also served proudly as a Mason in Grand Ledge Lodge #0179 for eight years, with the last four years serving as Treasurer. Scott was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church. He also loved cooking, reading anything pertaining to history and watching movies. Scott is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sharon; children, Rachel, Trevor, Rebecca and Travis; mother, Sherry Garcia, Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Elizabeth (Phillip) Haddon, Oklahoma City, OK; and his niece, Amanda (Jared) Wion, Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his father and niece, Lauren Haddon. A Celebration of Life Service for Scott will be held at a later date. Tributes in Scotts memory may be sent to Wounded Warriors.
