Jeffrey Edward Freiburger

Mar 4, 1957 — Sep 1, 2026

Jeffrey Edward Freiburger, 69, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg.

Born on March 4, 1957, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jeff was the son of Gerald and Bernice (Fisher) Freiburger. He married the love of his life, Therese Didier, and together they shared 46 years of marriage.

Jeff graduated from Napoleon High School and completed a Tool and Die Apprenticeship before earning his bachelor's degree from Purdue University. He began a distinguished career with RRP Packaging, where his work ethic guided him through positions as an engineer, general manager, and eventually president spanning over 35 years with the company.

From his childhood days, the family cottage at Oliver Lake held a special place in Jeff's heart until his passing. Any opportunity to spend time out on the lake brought him joy. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and memorable fishing trips to Canada and Alaska. Jeff appreciated life's simple pleasures, including a good burger, his mother's baked chicken, Italian Ice popsicles shared with his grandchildren, and a slice of pineapple upside-down cake. He was also a loyal patron of Spengler's, a longtime Napoleon favorite.

Known for his quiet nature, generosity, and unwavering integrity. He was a man of his word who could always be counted on to help others. Above all, Jeff was a man devoted to his faith, cherished his family and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Jeff's family will forever miss his ornery sense of humor, playful teasing, and infectious laugh. The memories he created and the example he set through his kindness, faithfulness, and dedication to family will remain a lasting legacy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Therese Freiburger; daughters, Trisha (Nick) Stultz and Stephanie (John) Hoover; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emma, Claire, Patrick, and Julianne; sisters, Sue (Andy) Alexander, Julia (Victor) Freiburger-Milla, Eileen (Mark) Willeman, and Anne (Gene) Luckinbill.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Cerlida Fisher and Julia Freiburger/Beckman; his parents, Gerald "Jerry" and Bernice Freiburger; and his brother, Mark Freiburger.
