Jeffrey A Dessum

Jeffrey A. Dessum, age 56, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017 at his home. The son of Norman and Judith Dessum, he was born December 20, 1960 in Toledo. He was a graduate of Whitmer High School. After high School Jeff started a career in construction until a work related injury leading him to the insurance industry. He opened his own agency, K.D. Insurance. Jeff was a NASCAR fan and the light of his life was his granddaughter. He is survived by his children, Katelyn (Dylan) Meinert, Katrina Boyle; grandchildren, MacKenzie and Owen Meinert; father, Norman (Jane) Dessum; siblings, Dan (Kellie) Dessum, Norman Chip (Deb) Dessum; aunt, Pat (Jim) Dickey and best friend, Karen Baidel. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Vischer and grandmother, Addie Biker. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 3-6 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) where a memorial service will be held at 6:00PM Tuesday.
