Jeffrey Floyd Berger, born on January 2, 1957 to Clifford and Jean Berger, left this world on April 15, 2017. Jeff was a resident of Curtice, originally from Harbor View. Jeff attended Clay High School (’75) and retired from from the City of Oregon Water and Waste Water Treatment Plants. After retirement, Jeff found a calling in automobile sales working for Dunn Chevy Buick, and most recently at Stanford-Allen Chevrolet Cadillac. One of his favorite past times was taking his BMW motorcycle for a ride. Jeff developed a passion for music at a young age in the Ambassadors Drum and Baton Corps. His love of music evolved into “jamming” with his friends and playing drums to Rock and Roll music. Jeff and his wife loved to attend live concerts, particularly Tom Petty and Neil Young. Jeff looked forward to time spent vacationing on the beach with his wife and family in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and hoped to one day retire there. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents. Jeff is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joan (Bordner); daughter, Alyssa; son, Michael; sisters, Judy (Tom) Polster, Jackie (Adam) Radloff; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Ave., Oregon, OH on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 4-8 P.M. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, April 20, 2017, Jeff will lie in state at St. Ignatius Parish, 212 N. Stadium Rd., Oregon, Ohio from 9 AM until the start of Mass at 10 AM. Burial will follow at St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Jeff’s name to your local Habitat for Humanity.
