Jeffrey Michael Apostle age 52 of Priest River, Idaho formerly of Toledo passed away February 1, 2013 in his home from complications of throat and esophageal cancer. He was born February 26, 1960 in Toledo, attended Christ the King grade school and was a 1978 graduate of Start High School. Jeff joined the United States Air Force where he retired as a Staff Sergeant after 22 years of service. During his time in the service he served in 11 countries, visited many more and was involved in the Gulf War. With his special training in electronics from the military he was privileged to work on both Air Force One and Two. After retirement he continued to work in the aeronautical field. The love of the outdoors and animal life lured him to northern Idaho where he lived the last 12 years. If Jeff were to have survived one of his goals was to speak to children and young adults about the ravages of smoking. Surviving are his children Cassidy Ben Culbert and Nicholas Apostle; grandchildren Isabelle and Lyla Culbert; mother Barbara Kennedy; father Arthur Shirley Apostle; sister Dianna Lucas Hayes; step-brother Kevin; step-sisters Diane and Patti; aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday February 8, 2013 at 10 AM in Christ the King Catholic Church 4100 Harvest Lane in Toledo. The family suggests memorials to Hospice of Northwest Ohio 30000 River Rd. Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 or the charity of the donors choice.
