Jeffery M. Freyer

Jeffery M. Freyer, 67, of Toledo, Ohio passed away from a tragic traffic accident on Wednesday, July 7, 2021. He was born on October 4, 1953 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania to John and Mary (Shemak) Freyer. Jeff graduated from Waite High School, Class of 1971. He met his future wife, Sally Burkhardt, in high school and together, they raised two boys. Jeff was a loyal employee, putting in over 30 years at Walter Gogel Co. and 12 years at Carrdan Corp. as a purchasing manager. Jeff loved baseball and was a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers. One of his favorite trips was to Boston with his son, Tim. He also enjoyed Tuesday dinners with his son, Brett and his family. Jeff will be missed for his infectious laughter and a smile that would light up any room. He was kind and generous to his friends and family. He was always there to provide sage advice and a helpful hand to anyone he met. Jeff leaves behind his sons, Tim and Brett (Amanda) Freyer; his grandsons, Grayson and Lucas Freyer; his brothers, John (Terri), Doug (Maria), Greg (Kelli), and Nourm (Beth) Freyer; many nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Sally Freyer. A memorial visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021, with a scripture service at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. A memorial mass will begin 11:00 AM on Friday, July 16, 2021, at Saint Pius X, 2950 Ilger Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. A committal service will be held on a later date.
