Jeannette A. Szymanowski, (Lancon) of Curtice, Ohio, born on September 8, 1923, in London, England, passed away June 9, 2021, at Otterbein Senior Life, Pemberville, Ohio, after a six month battle with heart and gastric issues. She is survived by her son, Paul Szymanowski and daughters Rosemary Shugar and Jennifer Hupp, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and extended family in England. She was preceded in death, in 1989, by her husband, Robert L. Szymanowski. Jeannette and Robert met in London at a dance during World War II while Robert was stationed to go to mainland Europe post D-Day. After the war, they corresponded and Jeannette came to the United States in December of 1947. They got married on February 7, 1948, at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, in Toledo, Ohio. They lived in Point Place for about 25 years before moving to Curtice. Jeannette was a dedicated housewife, good baker, avid gardener, nature lover, and avid traveler, who enjoyed people and they in turn enjoyed her warm and sincere demeanor. She had a good life and will be sorely missed. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, Friday, June 18, 2021, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge, Ohio 43465. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM, Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, Ohio 43430. Interment will take place in the Allen Township Cemetery, Williston, Ohio. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Jerome Catholic Church, The ASPCA, P.O.
