Jeannette M. Novin

Jeannette M. Novin (Settelmeyer) 82, of Curtice, OH, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023 peacefully at home after a long brave battle against the horrible disease of Alzheimer's surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 7, 1941, in Toledo, OH, the daughter of Larry and Anna (Cunningham) Settelmeyer. Jeannette graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1959. Jeannette married Ray R. Novin, Sr. on April 29, 1961.

Jeannette was a fantastic Wife, Mother and very proud Grandmother. She was the former owner of Ray and Jet’s Cafe in Genoa. She enjoyed playing softball for 35+ years in Oregon, OH and Bonita Springs, FL and spending time with her grandchildren and 5 great-grandsons. Upon retirement they wintered in Bonita Springs, FL. She was married to Ray for 57 years.

Jeannette leaves behind many special friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Ray, Mother, Father, her sisters Colette Settelmeyer and Laura Granata. She is survived by her sister Mary Margaret Amen, Patricia (Don) Kegerris, Thomas (Patricia) Kitzler, Micheal (David) Kitzler, Annemarie (Settelmeyer) (Jesse) McGraw also survived by her 3 children, Jennifer (Rex) Diebert, Ray Jr. (Debra) Novin and Eric Novin. She has 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for Jeannette will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 PM, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1105 Elliston Road, Martin, Ohio 43445. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1:00 PM. Immediately following Mass, family and friends are invited to a time of fellowship in the church hall.
