Jeanne G. Westervelt

Jeanne G. Westervelt, age 85, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at Bowling Green Manor.

Born on January 9, 1941, in Kenton, Ohio, Jeanne was the daughter of Leonard L. and Kathryn M. (Lintz) Goslee. She later married Wesley B. Westervelt.

Jeanne devoted her professional life to education and music. She spent many years as an elementary vocal music teacher, sharing her love of music with countless students throughout her career. Her teaching service included schools in Florida, Michigan, Toledo Public Schools, and Warren, Ohio. She was also a longtime Sales Associate at JCPenney.

Jeanne is survived by her brothers-in-law, George Hipp and David Deaton; and her nieces and nephews, Dianna Barnhisel, Robert Hipp, Darryl Deaton, Sharon McCubbins, Paula Werner, Amy Wiseley, Marcus Miller, and Neil Adams.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wesley B. Westervelt; her parents, Leonard L. and Kathryn M. Goslee; and her sisters, Carol Ann Deaton and Joanne Hipp.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Perrysburg Alliance Church, 10401 Avenue Road, Perrysburg, Ohio. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, Ohio or Perrysburg Alliance Church in Perrysburg, Ohio.
