Jeanne D. Vandermeer

Jeanne D. VanderMeer, age 91, of Walbridge, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018. Jeanne was born August 20, 1926 to the late Emery and Nora (Heath) Dunton. Jeanne was a loving, caring mom, grammy, and friend. She used her creativity within the many groups and organizations she was a part of. As a member of T.A.M.E. and N.A.M.E., Jeanne collected and repaired dolls, built miniature furniture, as well as rooms and decorated dollhouses. She also painted, quilted, and carved. Jeanne was always ready to help and encourage her fellow enthusiasts. Left to cherish Jeanne’s memory are her children; John W. VanderMeer III, Kristin (Richard) Ayer, Philip (Jari) VanderMeer, Robert H. VanderMeer, and Mark A. (Laurie) VanderMeer; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. Preceding Jeanne in death is her husband John W. VanderMeer Jr. Friends will be received on Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 222 East South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133). Burial will follow at Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorial Contribution may be made to Moline United Methodist Church, 28010 E. Broadway Street, Walbridge, Ohio 43465.
