Jeanne F. Thostenson, 88, of Pemberville, formerly of Millbury, died Monday afternoon in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Jeanne was born September 20, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, to Fred B. and Mary M. Quilter Taylor. On May 25, 1963, in Toledo, Ohio, she married Clifford Thostenson and he preceded her in death October 7, 2006. Jeanne worked as a secretary for Owens Corning Fiberglass in Toledo until 1963. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, where she was active in the former Altar Rosary Society. She delivered Mobile Meals in the Genoa area and served on its board as well. Quilting and knitting were Jeannes favorite pastimes. She is survived by her son, Matthew Carol Thostenson of South Lyon, MI, and daughter, Molly Todd Soviar of Perrysburg, grandchildren, Katy, Hailey and Luke Thostenson, and Dakota and Wyatt Soviar. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Mary Elizabeth Raymond, Patricia Sawyer, Carolyn Hunter, and infant sister, Phyllis Taylor, and brother, John Taylor. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. The family has suggested memorials to Otterbein-Portage Valley, 20311 Pemberville Rd., Pemberville, OH 43450, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551.
