She was an angel on earth, and now she is a saint in Heaven. Jeanne Marie Revells Tenney unexpectedly left her earthly vessel behind on Sunday, January 7, 2018. Jeanne was born July 28, 1953, to James and Judy Revells, the oldest of four daughters. She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 1971, and later the University of Toledo’s Registered Nurse Program. She loved without limits – no one who spent time with her left feeling unseen, unheard or unloved. It was her gift and it was what made her such a talented nurse, daughter, Mom, Nonnie, sister, aunt and friend. Her first love was her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed being a spectator at her active grandchildren’s dancing, acting, singing, and sporting events. She was recognized as the official cook in her extended family and she took great joy in preparing feasts for her family and watching them enjoy her efforts. Love was always her secret ingredient that made everything taste that much better. The official “Isetta Ravioli” will never taste the same to her family – even though she spent years trying to teach her “apprentices” to duplicate them. She was the family photographer and finding photos to celebrate her life was a challenge to her family since, true to her giving nature, she spent most of her time behind the lens, not in front of it. She also was a lifelong animal lover and advocate, and her current furry companions, Sassy and Toto, already miss her comforting presence. Besides being a talented and dedicated nurse, working the last several years for hospice organizations, Jeanne was an enthusiastic and creative crafter, excited to tackle any project and any medium. She had recently begun selling her unique hair bows online and at craft shows and loved blessing her granddaughters and great-nieces with them. Her family will continue to treasure the crocheted afghans, holiday decorations and other craft items they received from her through the years. Jeanne’s mother was there to greet her with arms wide open at the gates of Heaven, as were her grandparents. She is survived by her children, Julie (Basil) DeSantis, Louis (Danielle Horner) Tenney and Aaron (Rebecca) Revells; grandchildren Angelica, Julian, Gino, Giovanni and Isabella DeSantis, Blayne, Nolen, Logan and Caysen Tenney, Madaline and Kaylynn Horner, and Eleanor Jay Revells. Also her father James (Mary Lou) Revells, and sisters Cindy (Dan) Zawojski, Judy (Darcy Cooper) Revells and Mary (Michael) Lambert, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She also leaves her former husband and lifelong friend Ken Tenney. Her light and love will be missed by all. Visitation will be held from 3-8 pm on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio 43537. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 10:30 am on Monday, January 15, 2018 with the funeral mass to follow at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Toledo Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be given at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
