Jeanne E. Ochs (Prusik), 90, of Oregon, Ohio, has gone to be with the Lord on August 4, 2022. Jeanne was born on April 15, 1932 in New Haven, Connecticut to Joseph and Stella (Fijalkowska) Prusik.
Jeanne was an active and sociable soul who loved making new connections wherever she went. She was an avid golfer until her 80’s and a part of many local organization and volunteer groups, such as the St. Charles Women’s Guild for 20 years, President and Secretary of BPW Bowling, Gambling Grannies, and the GBU. She loved gambling and would always have the best advice – always spend double the machine’s required playing amount, the winnings are guaranteed to be better. She enjoyed having fun and bringing merriment to those around her, as shown by her love of G.A.F. and the annual GBU Easter Egg Hunts she would enjoy with her grandchildren. The love shown to her never ended, as shown by her weekly Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune nights with her son, Daniel.
A special mention to Jeanne and Donald’s closest friends who preceded them in death - Rita and Bob Clark, and Helen and Marion Cannaday.
She is survived by her children, Daniel C. Ochs and Donna J. Ochs; grandchildren, Jason (Heidi), Melissa (Jason), Amber (Shawn); great grandchildren, Austin, Lyndsey, Sebastian, Keegan, and Mason, and sister-in-law, Jenny Prusik. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Donald G. Ochs; sons, Steven J. Ochs and Martin G. Ochs, sisters, Tessie Conner, Phyllis Golansky, Helen Podgurski, Genevieve DeTray, Claire Wodrich, Tilly Gillison, and finally, brother, Walter Prusik.
Memorial services for Jeanne will be held on a later date in September. Arrangements were provided by Walker Funeral Home – Oregon Chapel, 3500 Navarre Ave.
