The kind and loving spirit of Jeanne Hilton will be greatly missed, but her memory will forever bring smiles to all she touched. A remarkable woman, she made wonderful use of her 83 years, as a devoted wife, mother, businesswoman and friend to all she met. Hers was a life that will continue to be celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to know her. For many years she was the owner of House of Hilton Bridal Shop and considered all of her customers and employees her extended family. Blessed with a quick wit and ready smile, she truly embraced the joy of life and shared that joy (and endless smiles) with all she knew. There were always fun times to be shared. She loved the birds of the earth, gardening, entertaining, parties, music and dancing and was a big fan of Broadway musicals and travel in general. She never sat still for very long. Originally from Pittsburgh, she met John Hilton, they married and moved to Toledo in 1953. Over the years Jeanne was a loving supportive mother to her three daughters and an active leader in garden clubs, PTAs, and numerous community groups. Her husband, John Hilton, and daughter, Jane, preceded Jeanne in death. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Hilton and Carol (Dan) Hylant; and grandsons, John Hylant, Daniel Hylant and Eric Scsavnicki. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 9, 2015 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) and conclude with services to celebrate Jeannes life at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice. Jeannes family would like to extend heartfelt appreciation for the compassionate care of Jeannes physicians and caregivers, including: Drs. Kara Hertzfeld, Fadhil Hussein, John Johnston, David Mallory and Richard Sbrocchi.
